Sprint interval training is the claim that a few all-out 30-second efforts can do what an hour of steady cardio does. The claim is partly true and partly marketing, and the difference is measurable: SIT does change muscle and VO2max quickly, it does not change body fat much, and what happens in the four minutes between sprints decides what you are actually training.
