Two lifts share the name bent-over row. One is performed with the torso parallel to the floor, the bar returned to the ground between reps and no body movement. The other, the one seen most in gyms, has the torso at 45 degrees or higher, the bar hanging from the hands and a rhythm that borrows from the hips. They load the back differently, and the measurements show where.
