Can blood flow restriction between sets aid recovery? In two small trials, cuff occlusion during rest kept power higher in later explosive sets

Blood flow restriction cuffs are usually worn during light sets to make them harder. A newer idea flips that: cut off blood flow to the working muscles while you rest between heavy or explosive sets, release it shortly before the next set, and see whether that brief ischaemia and reperfusion helps you keep your speed and power. It sounds counter-intuitive to starve a recovering muscle of blood, which is exactly why it is worth checking the trials before trying it.
