Ski Ergometer Technique: The Double-Pole Stroke, Its Muscles and How It Differs From Snow

The ski ergometer looks like a rowing machine turned on its end: two handles on cords, pulled downward and back from overhead in a double-poling motion. It trains the trunk, lats, shoulders and arms in one rhythmic pull and can be used standing or seated. The muscle sequence has been measured, and so has the way the machine differs from the skiing it imitates.
